Empowering nonprofits to achieve their missions.
Held online in Zoom*
$25 General Admission; $10 Spokes Members
NOTE: This session is offered twice, on March 26 and again on April 9.
Amid the uncertainty created by new executive orders on immigration that may affect both staff and clients, many nonprofit employers are seeking guidance on their rights, responsibilities, and obligations. In response, Spokes has compiled a set of special resources to assist in navigating these challenges.
This session will walk nonprofit CEOs, executive directors and managers through those resources specifically related to human resource/personnel issues. There will also be ample time for Q&A. Topics include:
What to Do if ICE Shows Up
Creating an ICE Response Plan
Types of Warrants
Employee and Client Communication
Administrative Protocol, Including I-9 Forms
California’s Immigrant Worker Protection Act
We recommend you visit the Special Resources page and review the related section prior to the session. When you register, you may submit specific questions you may have.
