Effective decision-making for nonprofit boards requires more than Roberts Rules! Join us to consider a range of different decision-making processes and tools. Some are very general. Some are just right for a specific purpose. Leave with some new—and/or refurbished—tools for your decision-making toolkit. This class is an excellent choice for executive directors, board presidents, governance committees, and anyone who facilitates group decision making. Improve your ability to create thoughtful, high-impact outcomes for your nonprofit community.

Topics we will explore include:

  • Preventing groupthink
  • Encouraging diverse perspectives
  • Differentiating between transactional (immediate needs) and strategic (long-term goals)
  • Consensus decision-making
