Then gather ideas of what you'd like to raise money for, think of a few stories you could tell about your nonprofit, and come join this workshop. You will find out that small nonprofits have an advantage over big ones when it comes to making a direct mail appeal look much more personal. Also, learn the steps to having an effective mail campaign when you only have a small budget. 

 

In this workshop designed for small nonprofits, you will learn how to : 

- Write an opening sentence that grabs attention and gets people to read your letter.  

- Design an envelope that gets people to open it (you don't need a budget for something fancy).  

- Ask in specific ways that get people to give $100, $250 or more.  

- Add personal touches that make people more likely to give.

- Decide whether to produce the appeal as a bulk mailing to save money. 

 

You'll actually get hands-on in this workshop as you start writing your holiday direct mail appeal. Get started on your end-of-year, direct mail piece, so you get the mailing out on time this year!
