Are you prepared to foster volunteerism within your organization? Do you know how to find and recruit people who are passionate about your mission? Developing a new volunteer program and on-going management of volunteers presents a challenge for every non-profit organization.  This class is composed of a series of short, interactive topics designed to help grow or strengthen your volunteer program.

This session is composed of a short presentation followed by questions and comments from the group.  Attendees are encouraged to bring issues and questions for the instructor and other attendees to discuss.  Participants are encouraged to also attend the companion training “Keys to Keeping Quality Volunteers” on April 23.

Facilitated by Rachel Cementina. A San Luis Obispo local, Rachel was first introduced to volunteer management as a member of the local AmeriCorps program. That position led to coordinating volunteer opportunities of all sizes - from ongoing boards and committees to large one-day volunteer events. She now serves as the Membership and Marketing Director at the Y, is an ambassador for the SLO Chamber of Commerce, and a volunteer manager for God's Storehouse food pantry.
