Starting and running a nonprofit organization is a complex undertaking and deserves as much contemplation as starting any other business. Join us in this class to learn the answer to these questions:

With over 1200 nonprofits in San Luis Obispo County it is important to understand the competition, partnership and culture of the local nonprofit sector. This class is an important first step for anyone considering starting a nonprofit organization. Spokes’ mission is to empower nonprofits to achieve their mission.

Presented by Jenna Espinosa, Spokes’ Vision Weaver.
Jenna runs Spokes’ educational and consulting programs, joining the organization in 2015. She began her nonprofit management career serving as the Executive Director of the San Luis Obispo-based 501c(3) Central Coast Grown, helping to bring City Farm to fruition. Jenna brings that first-hand nonprofit management experience with her as she supports a multitude of nonprofits in our Central Coast Community through her role at Spokes. Jenna is a graduate of Leadership SLO and serves on the City of San Luis Obispo’s Active Transportation Committee. She holds a dual masters degree in Natural Resources and Sustainable Development from American University in Washington, D.C. and the United Nations University for Peace in Costa Rica.
