Networking can be a valuable first step of fundraising, volunteer recruitment, and awareness building for your organization…but have you ever attended a networking event and felt like a fish out of water, just floundering around and hoping something good happens? Would you like to network with intention?  Do you know what you want and go after it? Do you leave the event with confidence that the connections you made will increase the visibility of your organization?

This workshop will teach you the newest and most effective networking techniques. Whether you are an advanced networker or a beginner, you will learn how to make impactful connections. Join us to:

-Feel empowered at networking events and make the connections you want;
-Evaluate your networking skills and set simple goals for where you want to be;
-Learn how to teach others to give you referrals on a continual basis.

Participants are encouraged to attend Spokes’ nonprofit networking event Happy “Hub” Hour immediately following this class to put their new skills to use.

Presented by Kim Austin, who conducts business networking workshops through Connections Discovered, which she founded in 2015.  Having earned her BBA in Marketing and Speech Communication from Texas A&M-Commerce, Kim has amassed more than twenty years’ experience in recruiting, business development and networking. Currently, Kim is an insurance agent with Rick Goree’s State Farm Insurance in Paso Robles, a Board Member with the Paso Robles Chamber of Commerce, and the founder of Teens Giving Back, an organization that teaches local teens how to give back to their community through volunteering.
