You have been elected to serve on the board of an organization you care about deeply.  Congratulations!  Now What?  What does it really take to advance a mission? Does it imply fundraising? What does that mean? Do you really have to ask friends for money? Yikes!

Whether you are just beginning to think about the relationship between your organization’s future and raising funds or if you are in need of a fresh look at the fundraising landscape as a volunteer leader, you will find this workshop beneficial.

Join us to:

--Identify both the mind-sets and skill-sets that can improve your relationship to fundraising

--Develop simple tactics to build your fundraising skills

--Tackle barriers to fundraising for greater success

Facilitated by:

Joseph, Managing Director and Development Coach at Teach for America, and San Luis Obispo resident since 2006.  With over 25 years of non-profit management and senior level development experience, Ms. Joseph offers unique insight into the critical role that board members can play in advancing the mission of their organizations through meaningful and effective fundraising roles.  Ms. Joseph holds a B.A. in Political Science from Bucknell University, an M.A. in Public Administration from the University of Virginia, an M.S. in Architecture from Cal Poly SLO, and certification in adult learning.
